I don't know if I started getting sick of this place or what.. Fifty minutes ago, Thomas was dropped off to a birthday party - the kind where the parents can drop off their wee ones and leave. Rather than stand around, watching their kid, snapping a few photos on little digital cameras or phones while rarely talking to each other. Count me out, man. Count me out. So, he was dropped off. Yay. Freedom. Em.. Now what? My first thought was my little nook at Fremont Coffee. But, that place is too far away. Neptune hadn't popped into my mind until after thinking about a Starbucks that's attached to a grocery store. (that's why I'm thinking I may've been getting a little sick of the same place all the time) Bam. Them I remembered the good times at Neptune. Sure their coffee isn't my absolute favorite - it's a hopping little coffee house. It's great. Everybody who works there - and the owner, seem to all be best friends. I feel like the guy who always invites himself into their party. I'll be quiet! Promise.

Holy Poo. I've been coming here for extended little stays for almost three months! Long time. This is like the new Java Junction.

Anyway, I'm here and had a super toasted club and my normal americano. Now, I have about a half hour to think about how the McFucking Hell to get my head around Rolf the Clown and Charlemagne the Magic Cat.

ahh - that entry was sure burning of intent.. Here's what happened: I wanted to 80GB model, and it turns out this hasn't been made for a while, but some stores are still selling them. This was learned while talking to a sales dude at Best Buy. He was really pushing the iPod (which I really love, but can't get my head around actually owning one..). The 120GB Zune after taxes and a four year protection plan is pushing $300!! No way. One of my home-slices at work pointed me to a couple other players. He wants a player with an FM tuner, wi-fi to synch and bluetooth for the headphones. He's didn't have any luck finding one. Some of the devices he pointed me to are pretty sweet. iRiver has two decent pieces of hardware and one kick-ass one - the Spinn. Then there is the Zen - it has a record option for the FM tuner. Great. There really isn't just the Zune and iPod. It made me remember how polorized we are in the states. In Asia - there are dozens of sweet media players.

What am I going to do? Keep the pocket PC. It has a VGA screen and can play back XviD movies at 30fps. I found a couple of media players to screw around with - thanks to my hatred for Media Player on Mobile 5 and 6. I heard Mobile 7 is better, but that most likely won't install on the good old hp hx4705. One great piece of software all ready in use is Resco Radio - it's an Internet radio "tuner".

Maybe getting that cert will be an excuse to blow $300.
